What we store, and where

TypingKeeda works without an account on our side. When you use the site, it saves the following in your browser's own storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) on your device:

Profiles you create: a name, your chosen keyboard layout and exam, and an optional PIN. The PIN is stored as a hash, not as the digits you typed.
Your test results: speed, accuracy, mistakes and per-key statistics.
Settings such as theme, focus mode and whether you have seen the welcome screen.

This data is not sent to us, and we cannot see, recover or delete it for you. Anyone who uses the same browser profile on that device can open it. A profile PIN keeps casual users out, but it is not strong security.

Deleting or moving your data

Delete a profile on the Account page, or clear this site's data in your browser settings to remove everything. To move to another computer, download a backup file on the Account page and restore it there. The backup file is yours; keep it somewhere safe.

What our servers see

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives the technical details every browser sends when it loads a page (IP address, browser type, the page requested, time) and may keep them briefly in server logs for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify you, and we do not combine them with anything else.

Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not contact Google Fonts or other font services.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, so we know what to improve. It sets no cookies and does not identify you. Each visit records the page, the referring site, your country, and your browser, operating system and device type. To tell visits apart for a single day, it uses a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours. It never sees your typing data or profiles.

Cookies and ads

We set no cookies, show no ads, and do not sell or share personal data. If that changes, we will update this page first.

Links and embedded content

Exam pages link to outside sources, and we may link to or embed our YouTube and Instagram videos. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow the link or play an embedded video.

Contacting us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and delete it when it is no longer needed.

Children

TypingKeeda is meant for exam aspirants and learners of any age. Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, we do not knowingly hold data about children. Parents can review or clear a child's profile on the Account page.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, and raise a grievance. In practice, the only personal data we may hold is an email you send us, plus the short-lived server logs described above. Write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
