How typing works on Remington
Consonants carry “a”
क already sounds “ka”: d. Remington follows the old typewriter, so letters sit where typists have always found them.
Vowel signs
का = dk · की = dh
कि = fd: on Remington ि is typed before the letter, like the typewriter.
Joining letters

Shift gives the half letter (स् ⇧ l). ्र under a letter is z.
